I have been digging into my pretty Christmas and Wynter fabrics lately and just itching to do some festive creating with them. I found this beautiful soft pink polka dot and knew it would be perfect for my little snow lady. This is Dotty. She is made of heavy weight muslin that I have tightly stuffed, painted, sanded and painted again. She has hand stitched applied eyelids and round little nose and highly detailed hand painted facial features. Her entire head has been coated in real German glass glitter and she sparkles so pretty in the evening light. Her arms are wired and can be posed any way you wish and she has a boxed bottom so she sits nicely. Her pretty hat is made from the pink polka dot and is trimmed with beautiful lace, satin ribbons and some sparkly snowballs that have mica flakes and glass glitter. Her top is made of more pink polka and trimmed with a big fluffy ruffled collar. Her trousers are made of a beautiful floral print trimmed with pink cuffs. Miss Dotty is carrying a little hand made basket filled with more little snowballs , snowflakes, with a vintage note card and pink satin ribbons. Dotty is just about 29 inches tall from the top of her hat to the tips of her toes. I have made her with great care and quality materials to assure she will be a treasured favorite for many years to come.
